Which phone to get - is it worth it?

Happy belated Vday! hope every1 enjoyed their yesterday~~~

So aniway.... I haven't been blogging for a while (1+ week nia)... so I decided to update abit....

I've been thinking of buying a phone for these few days (actually it's been over a month)..... But A rational guy like me (trying to be rational) is trying to weigh whether an I phone is worth it anot.... I realli like the phone..... =(


There are some assumptions on my calculations. I ignored inflation... GST.... caller ID fees.... blah blah for easier calculation. I'm using a 2 year plan. My usage will be within the limits of the plan.

Situation A:
I buy a $0 phone and continue my normal iOne Plus.
Total Cost for 2 years = Initial Cost ($0) + $25.68*24 = $616.32
Average Monthly Cost = $25.68


Situation B:
I buy a $398 phone and continue my normal iOne Plus. (eg. E71)
Total Cost for 2 years = $398 + $25.68*24 = $1,014.32
Average Monthly Cost = $42.26

Situation C:
I buy iphone $698 but continue to use iOne Plus - but I can't surf as I like... =(
Total Cost for 2 years = $698 + (25.68*24) = $1314.32
Average Month Cost = $54.76

Situation D:
I buy iphone $348 and use their Iflexi plan / 3G flexi (300mb / month)
Total Cost for 2 years = $348 + $56*24 = $1,692
Average Monthly Cost = $70.50

Situation E:
I buy iphone $698 and use iOne Plus but subscribe to Broadband mobile 1000 (30% off currently, 30gb / month)
Total Cost for 2 years = $698 + (0.7*$22.42 + $25.68)*24 = $1690.98
Average Montly Cost = $70.46


In Short,
Getting an iphone means paying about $30 more per month..... woooo....
No wonder I consider for 1 month and I still haven decide.... zzzzzz
