Hi all, Today Y went down early to Acer service centre wif ck to try to repair his laptop after it crashed on thurs (which is actually yesterday.... national day). Things did not go smoothly for the both of them.
After Y got his queue no. , he got attended by one of the service staff in acer. Y was told that he need to wait for 2h to reformat the computer and test whether there was any problem wif the hard disk. They will call him once everything is completed.
CK tried to show acer's staff that there was problem wif his motherboard but the error tt had normally occured to CK did not appear during this time. CK had told the service staff tt his motherboard needs to be changed after he went to the service centre at school but the staff did not realli care. He tried to 'offer' a solution to change the hard disk - tt was a poor try.... farked up sia.
CK :" so if the computer manage to pop up the error screen later, can I come and look for you without queueing?"
staff A :" No... u have to queue again..... "
CK:" erm but I came at about 9am today just now...."
staff A:" our operating hours start from 8am.... you can come earlier...."
WTF!!!! the signs and papers all wrote that it opened at 9am loh. and why can't he give CK piority? he did queue up wat! just tt he wasn't able to show the staff the error mah! den the staff simply just offer a solution of changing hard disk ( ck just changed the hard disk 4 months ago).
after that, they stayed on the acer service centre to settle some admin stuff (they had stayed for 1h). while they were about to go off , Y went to ask staff B if he just need to wait for another hour.
Y:" hi , so erm i just have to wait for another hour for my laptop?"
staff B:"just now I said 2 to 3 hours for the reformatting and checking of the hard disk. you can also say like tt if you want....."
WTF!!! 1st he says 2 h only, den now he say 2-3 hours. den he say I wan to say like tt also can?! WTH! wat kind of attitude is this?
nvm.... Y and CK went to makan and walked around at JP..... When CK finish his lunch, it was already 1+pm. Y was vexed why he haven receive the call from acer service centre. CK suggested to call their service centre to check whether it was ready for collection. After Y called, den he knew that the laptop was already ready for collection!
WTF>>>> why they nvr call Y to inform him? Y and CK waited for 4h loh.... fark up.
when they reached the service centre.... they are told tt an sms was sent to Y at 12pm. Y got nothing to say. he didn't even receive the msg........
MOrale of the story: Windows Vista is still unstable..... so it sux for now. Acer service staff sux.... lousy attitude....
